As you look at the different pictures provided, think about how the landscape of this area in Massachusetts was beneficial to the Pilgrims. For example is being by water an important aspect of the land? If yes, how is it beneficial to the Pilgrims? Was the land too rough, or can you see space for housing and planting crops? How important do you think the layout of the land was when it came to deciding where to start building a colony?
